Coach of Sweden Jan Andersson announced the final squad for the world Cup in Russian Federation.

The squad is largely made up of players who contributed to their dramatic qualification via the play-offs last November, when they beat Italy over two legs to secure a place in Group F.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is commonly rated as the greatest ever Swedish footballer but quit the national team after their dire showing at Euro 2016.

He has been impressive since he joined LA Galaxy in America and he even scored on his debut for the club.

Goalies: Robin Olsen (Copenhagen, Denmark), Carl Johan Jonsson (Guingamp, France), Kristoffer Nordfeldt (Swansea, Wales).

Included among the eight midfielders was Albin Ekdal, who recovered from injury to play the final games of the Bundesliga with Hamburger SV. Berg now plays his football at Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates.

While declaring the squad, Janne said, "I can only pick 23 players for the World Cup".

Nigeria can get to the quarterfinal of World Cup - Ex-Super Eagles star Etim Esin.
