Uganda's KCCA FC defeat Egypt's Al Ahly in CAF Champions League tie

Al Ahly was beaten 2-0 by Kampala City Council Authority in the shock of the second round of matches so far of the 2018 CAF Champions League.

Midfielder Saddam Ibrahim Juma scored the first goal for KCCA FC after 73 minutes when youngster Allan Okello created a flawless cross.

KCCA FC are drawn in Group A with record winners Al Ahly (Egypt), two time winners Espérance de Tunis (Tunisa) and Township Rollers of Bostwana. Elsayed Ayman brought down striker Derrick Nsibambi in the box.

Early in the first half Al Ahly also got a penalty after 22 minutes, but KCCA FC goalkeeper Charles Lukwago who was returning from suspension saved Walid Said Ebeid's shot.

KCCA manager Mike Mutebi has always said it is moments like these that football people and players live for.

Al Ahly's last visit to Uganda was in 2005 when they drew goalless against a Denis Onyango inspired SC Villa at Nakivubo stadium. Previously, the Reds suffered a 1-2 defeat against Zamalek in the Egyptian League; since then, Al-Ahly haven't won any game; they were eliminated from Egypt's Cup against Al-Assiouty in the quarter final with a 0-1 loss, and ended their match against Tunisian Esperance Sportive in Borg El-Arab stadium with a 0-0 draw.
