Jei has to live with a shark bite for the rest of his life after going to the beach over the weekend.

10-year-old boy was bitten by a shark while swimming at a Hilton Head Island beach Sunday. They chose to visit the Disney Hilton Head Island Resort located in Hilton Head, South Carolina, but what the family ended up getting was the complete opposite of relaxation. They say the shark bit down into the bone of Jei's forearm.

"I was underwater and I see a shark's mouth". "It bit, and then bolted off". Jei says he caught a glimpse of the shark, saying it was about 5 feet long.

"I saw his arm".

Hilton Head's "shark whisperer" Chip Michalove said May is the most common month for black-tips in that area.

He added black tips are smaller sharks, and their bites are less likely to be fatal.

The boy was flown to a hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Padgett said she did not know the fisherman and was not involved in catching the shark. She wants to warn other parents to be careful with their children in the water.
