Nigerian descent and Chelsea Ladies striker Eniola Aluko will leave the Women's Super League champions when the season ends on Sunday.

After winning the FA Women's Cup at the beginning of May with a 3-1 victory against Arsenal in the final, the Blues confirmed the Super League title with a 2-0 win over Bristol City Women on Tuesday night.

The team is now just one game away from finishing the season unbeaten in the league, having won their fifth major title in the club's history and their second in just 11 days.

"It's with a heavy heart I confirm I'll be leaving Chelsea", she said.

It was announced earlier this week that Aluko, who has made 102 appearances for England, will join ITV's punditry team for this summer's men's World Cup in Russian Federation. 2015 was a dream come true to do it again I'm beyond words. "To my team-mates who I adore, the club and fans - thank you". Aluko first signed for Chelsea in 2007 before leaving to play in the United States a year later.
