Earlier on Wednesday, James Ransone announced in a since-deleted tweet that he would be playing adult Eddie in the pic. Jack Dylan Grazer played the kid version of Eddie in the previous film.

It: Chapter Two is continuing to work magic with its casting.

It: Chapter Two will see Bill Skarsgard reprising his role as Pennywise the Dancing Clown, while Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff and Chosen Jacobs are also expected to reprise their roles from the first movie in flashback sequences.

Director Andy Muschietti is back to direct, with Gary Dauberman penning the script. The film, based on the second half of Stephen King's novel, will see the grown-ups Losers' Club return to Derry, Maine after almost 30 years to finish their fight with Bill Skarsgard's Pennywise.

Ransone joins a cast that includes Jessica Chastain as the grown-up Bev Marsh, with Bill Hader and James McAvoy having been in talks a month ago to sign on as the adult Richie Tozier and Bill Denbrough, respectively.

Production starts this summer in Toronto.

The first film was a massive hit, grossing $700 million worldwide, including $327 domestically. He is repped by TalentWorks and Magnolia Entertainment.
