Kangaroo captured hopping along South Carolina highway

The McCormick County Sheriff's Office received reports of the roo hopping in the forested areas near Clarks Hill, South Carolina, not far from Augusta, Georgia.

The kangaroo he refers to is one that was found galloping in the small farming town of McCormick in South Carolina, USA, on Tuesday morning.

Deputies say it escaped from a nearby animal sanctuary known as Melrose Farms, early Tuesday morning.

A kangaroo is back home after giving drivers along one SC road quite a surprise.

"We thought it was a prank call, actually, but we answer everything and sure enough, there was a kangaroo off to the side of the road", he said.

So did David Yeldell, a lifelong McCormick County resident.
