Fadnavis said the poll outcome in the southern State was a "mandate of faith" in the Prime Minister and the credit for it should go to the election strategy of BJP President Amit Shah.

Tiwari added that according to the Supreme Court ruling, the governor must invite the party that has the majority either pre-poll or post-poll. That overconfidence was the undoing of BJP in Karnataka.

The Nagaland unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including the twelve BJP legislators and workers today celebrated the Party's victory of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday said the Karnataka election results had set the course for a "bigger victory" for the BJP and the NDA in the 2019 general elections.

"You can not wish away the regional parties". Anyone can create unnatural tensions, but people of Karnataka are with us. "You can not undermine the importance of regional parties in the politics", Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai said. Addressing the Party workers, Patton on behalf of the State BJP extended its congratulation to the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and National BJP President Amit Shah, said that it is a historic win for BJP.

32 were won by Congress, 9 won by JDS and BJP just 5 seats. In Chickballapur, the BJP could not win any seat out of the five as in Kolar where it also scored zero out of six.

"Everyone has to work towards achieving the dream". But it is also a fact that regional parties gain sizeable share of seats during Goa assembly elections. I can't speak openly but we will definitely prove the majority. Forget winning 35 seats, the party may even fail to get to double figures if they fail to make amends and respect the coalition partners. The people of Bihar had thrown out the BJP and asked them to sit in the Opposition whereas the mandate was given to the RJD and the JDU.
