It is now high time for people to see new GeForce platform. According to Tom's Hardware, Nvidia is set to launch the Founders Edition of the upcoming GPU in July, which matches previous rumors. At the moment it isn't completely clear what the real name of this model will be.

As well as launching the GTX 1180, there's also likely to be a GTX 1170 Founder's Edition as well, with the GTX 1180 being the flagship, and the GTX 1170 being a more affordable GPU.

Nvidia hasn't yet announced a brand name, but we know that the new cards will either be the 11-series or the 20-series.

Specification wise there isn't any big information. Furthermore, the site claimed that the card might come with a TDP of 200 watts.

It packs double the video RAM compared to the GTX 1080, with 16GB of faster GDDR6 memory, and the new card has a rated peak FP32 performance of around 13 teraflops. Last but not least this card might have a little brother that should be the updated version of the current GTX 1070.

Pascal ushered in laptop GPUs that were nearly as capable as their desktop counterparts, so the Turing architecture should build upon that, as well as help make gaming at 4K resolutions and at 60 frames per second or above a more realistic goal for people not willing to throw thousands at the highest-end desktop PCs.

This follows rumors that suggest that the GeForce GTX 1180 could be faster than a Titan Xp, which is now Nvidia's most powerful consumer GPU. The sources, however, have chosen to remain anonymous so take it with a grain of salt.
