FDNY: 32 people injured when 2 buses collide exiting Lincoln Tunnel

Two buses collided near the Manhattan-side entrance of the Lincoln Tunnel on Friday morning.

Of those who were hurt, 25 suffered minor injures and seven suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, FDNY said.


The two New Jersey Transit buses struck each other at the Manhattan-side entrance of the tunnel, according to FOX 5 NY. The Port Authority of NY and New Jersey, which manages the tunnel, said the collision involved two New Jersey Transit buses. Citing FDNY officials, local station WNBC-TV reported that more than 30 people were injured in the collision.

511nj.org is reporting delays of 20 minutes from exit 16E on the New Jersey Turnpike to the NY side of the tunnel. Traffic is delayed as officials investigate.
