What Should Sir Elton John Play at the Royal Wedding?

The singer was a close friend of Harry's mum Diana and famously sang Candle in the Wind at her funeral in 1997.

We have to admit, in the final days before the royal wedding, we actually can not handle the anticipation about what's going to go down on Harry and Meghan's big day.

Among the names being bandied about: Princess Di pal Elton John - who suspiciously canceled two concerts over the wedding weekend - and all five Spice Girls.

The 71-year-old chart-topper - a close friend of the royals - has previously said he would love to attend Harry's wedding, but was waiting for the invites to be sent. Elton's Vegas shows were rescheduled months ago due to a "scheduling conflict".

The singer also performed at Prince William and Kate's wedding in 2011, so it's no surprise that Harry would ask the musical icon to be there for his too. He added during an interview on Lorraine that he is delighted to see Harry so happy and in love.

The claims come after Mel B revealed on USA chat show The Talk earlier this year that "us five Spice Girls" had scored invites to the wedding, sparking rumours she may have been "disinvited" after speaking so publicly about the nuptials.

He recently said: "She would be proud of them". And I am proud of them.

Singer Ed Sheeran was also speculated to be performing at the wedding earlier this year but quickly shut down the rumours. "It will be nice because I love him very dearly".

James will direct the Choir of St George's Chapel, which comprises up to 23 boy choristers from St George's School and 12 Lay Clerks, who will sing alto, tenor and bass.

Despite initial claims that he has not received an invitation to the nuptials, TMZ reported that John will indeed play at least one song at the May 19 event.
