Diplo & Will Smith Team Up For Official World Cup 2018 Anthem

Will Smith is collaborating with Diplo to create a song for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. "Reside it Up. #2018FIFAWorldCup".

Every four years, artists are given the change to perform for over 2 billion people worldwide during the finale of the World Cup.

He has recently focused primarily on his acting career, and the World Cup song signals a return to music more than 10 years after his last solo album, "Lost and Found".

"Nicky Jam and Will Smith are producing the new copa de futbol (soccer World Cup), they're doing it together", he said. However, he's certainly proven his ability to make catchy anthems, especially when they're tied to big projects - think "Men In Black" and "Wild West West".

Hundreds of followers had already favored Smith's revealing Instagram put up after simply minutes of placing it up. The most popular year for World Cup anthems in the United Kingdom remains 1998, with the official track - On Top of the World, performed by Ian McCulloch, the Spice Girls and others - reaching the Top 10, but getting overshadowed by unofficial tracks Vindaloo by Fat Les, which reached No 2, and Three Lions by Baddiel and Skinner, which topped the chart.

He's well-known within the reggaeton style, which originated in his father's native Puerto Rico and is influenced by hip hop and Latin American and Caribbean music, and he principally sings in Spanish.

Istrefi's popular single BonBon, released at the end of 2015, has drawn comparisons to Barbadian superstar Rihanna and Australian singer Sia.
