The teenager who opened fire at Santa Fe High School in Texas could have been bullied by students and staff and the accusations were dismissed without interviewing all relevant parties, lawyer Nick Poehl said in an interview.

Sadie Rodriguez, the mother of Santa Fe student Shana Fisher who was killed in the attack, has said in media accounts that her 16-year-old daughter had rejected four months of aggressive advances from Pagourtzis.

Schools in Santa Fe were closed through Tuesday and a crisis hotline was set up for traumatized students and parents.

Among them was 18-year-old Santa Fe senior Monica Bracknell, a shooting survivor who hugged Mr. Abbott outside the Arcadia First Baptist Church and urged him not to use the tragedy as fodder in the gun-control fight. "She should be getting her first auto, not a funeral".

"From a Republican perspective, you're not going to lose the Republican primary by being too pro-Second Amendment", Jones said. Finally, about a week ago, she stood up to him in the middle of class to proclaim she would not go out with him.

Classmates at the school in Santa Fe, Texas described Pagourtzis as a quiet loner who played on the football team.

"A week later he opens fire on everyone he didn't like", she said.

"If a person has a gun, the best way to stop that person is another person with a gun", Patrick said on "ABC News This Week".

Signs reading "Santa Fe Strong" could be seen outside many local churches and businesses over the weekend. He immediately waived his Miranda rights and is now in solitary confinement.

The dead include two teachers, Glenda Perkins and Cynthia Tisdale, plus students Shana Fisher, Kimberly Vaughan, Angelique Ramirez, Christian Riley Garcia, Jared Black, Christopher Jake Stone, Aaron Kyle McLeod and Pakistani exchange student Sabika Sheikh. "Every time you'd try to start a conversation with him he'd just kind of like laugh, wouldn't really continue on with the conversation".

Police have not said that the Sante Fe suspect was taking ADHD medication. But she said something must be done or more children will die in shootings, and even more will survive them and be left to feel guilty, like she does, for laughing, for having fun, for being a kid.

"We have 50 million abortions", he told CNN on Sunday.

"We ask the public to please extend privacy, both to the victims and to our own family, as all of us try process these events, and begin the healing process".

Dimitrios Pagourtzis, 17, researched tactics used by other mass shooters, the sources said.

"I knew two female teachers had been killed along with the students...not long after I determined that one of the teachers was probably my mother", the statement said. "Today was a down day, so we're still in prayer", Braun said.
