He did not tell Ms Rodgers, now 20, that he was infected with herpes - a criminal act - and she contracted the disease.

In the suit, according to TMZ, Faith Rodgers not only claims she and R. Kelly met in San Antonio but that, months later, the musician reportedly flew Rodgers to New York City to see one of R. Kelly's concerts.

Weeks later, Kelly arranged for Rodgers to travel to NY for one of his concerts and put her up in a hotel, she says.

In addition, she revealed that 'He goes on to tell me that he raises five women-some of them have been with him for 15 years, and he basically was trying to make it seem like it was a family thing, ' and he wanted her to join.

Rodgers was asked why she continued to be involved with Kelly until the point that she chose to walk away.

Faith Rodgers alleges she was in a relationship with Kelly for less than a year, during which time he routinely abused her "mentally, sexually and verbally".

If only R. Kelly could take a cue from Kendrick Lamar to be humble and sit down but instead he's toasting his defiance even as he faces lawsuits for being a sexual predator, declaring: "it's too late" for him to be taken down.

Two years later, Tiffany Hawkins filed suit against him, as well as his record, publishing and management companies, claiming personal injuries and emotional damage arising from what she alleged was a sexual relationship she had with Kelly, which she said began when she was 15 and ended when she was 18. "Rodgers also recalled a conversation the pair had after sex, where Kelly asked her age and said, "'You know, if you're really, you know, 16, that you can tell daddy, right?'... Rodgers also says that during the alleged assault, Kelly "insulted and criticized" her for a lack of participation. During the time with him, Rodgers says Kelly would regularly lock her in secluded rooms and areas as punishment for failing to please him sexually. Kelly has also lost a £74,000 lawsuit against a Georgia venue after failing to show up in court, days after two of his attorneys stepped down from the case, citing "ethical obligations".

Weeks later, Faith said he facilitated her trip down to NY for one of his concerts and lodged her in a hotel.

Kelly is no stranger to allegations of this nature.

A representative for R. Kelly claims that all accusations are false and it is another attempt to smear his name: "R. Kelly never has been accused of hate, and the lyrics he writes express love and desire". Apple and Spotify have removed R. Kelly from their services, and a #MuteRKelly campaign is gaining steam.
