Trump's address focused heavily on military investment, including $700 billion that Congress approved this year.

A precedent set by presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama was broken when Vice President Mike Pence gave the address past year, as Trump was in Sicily for a Group of Seven summit.

The president said in a statement that it was a "great honor and pleasure" to deliver remarks to the academy's Class of 2018 today.

He also used the speech to highlight his own efforts to boost U.S. defense spending, touting what he called a "great rebuilding of the United States military". "He is a physical coward, a liar and no leader at all". Add Donald Trump as an interest to stay up to date on the latest Donald Trump news, video, and analysis from ABC News.

"Our economy is the strongest it's ever been and our country has regained the respect that we used to have long ago overseas", he said in the commencement speech in Annapolis, Maryland. No more apologies. We are going to stand up for our citizens. But he also took time to hint that America has become stronger than ever during his presidency, and the country isn't apologizing for its behavior any longer. "Our country has regained the respect that we used to have long ago overseas, yes they're respecting us again, yes, America is back".

"You are now leaders of the most power and righteous forces on the face of the planet, the United States Military", he said.

"We'll see what happens", Mr. Trump said.

"The best way to prevent war, is to be fully prepared for war", Trump said.

"We got you a big pay increase, first time in over 10 years".

"What should I do?" he asked the crowd.

"I deal with people every single day", said Sean Pitts, director of the Nevada State Railroad Museum-Ely.

"Let me take a guess you're still not exhausted of winning".
