This week sees Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke hand over her dragons, silvery wig and list of titles in favour of a blaster, with the British star joining the adventure of new Star Wars spin-off Solo alongside Alden Ehrenreich's titular smuggler.

Clarke also included a few personal behind-the-scenes moments in her handwritten journal, according to a Vanity Fair interview on Wednesday.

She could've left it there and there'd still be every reason to be concerned, but no. Emilia Clarke had more to say: "Knowing that is going to be a lasting flavor in someone's mouth of what Daenerys is..."

The actress, who is now filming the eighth and final season of the HBO's hit fantasy series Game of Thrones, says there are similarities between working on the two large-scale productions.

"I don't know. But we do have ideas, don't we?"

The actress appeared on Good Morning America today and was sporting a much shorter 'do than we're used to. Considering this show delights in ruining our favourite characters and killing off anyone we care for, we can only assume they're planning a horrifying box of devastating surprises for the last season.

Her time on Game Of Thrones is coming to an end as work continues on the final season of the show.

"I did this, which was frigging stupid", she said of her bold new 'do. All of this, combined with rumors of a potential pregnancy for the fiery female, means Clarke may have filmed an action-packed swan song for the Mother of Dragons. Their series will take place outside of the Skywalker realm, which started with 1977's A New Hope and will wrap with 2020's Star Wars 9.

Speaking at Kering Woman in Motion at the Cannes Film Festival, she said: 'On Game Of Thrones, I have always been paid the same amount as my male co-stars. "I was kind of just relaxing, and then they were like, 'Oh, he's going to come in. No one had a good time". "I am, yes, utterly heartbroken to be saying goodbye to her [Khaleesi]". This month, Clarke joins the rapidly expanding Star Wars universe as Qi'ra in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Afterwards, we can only hope she didn't accidentally bring any of the Star Wars set dressing back to Game of Thrones.
