The next installment in the Hitman series has been announced.

Hitman 2 was revealed with a trailer Thursday ahead of E3 showing the infamous bald assassin sabotaging a racing vehicle to make it spin out and kill the driver, leaving onlookers non the wiser. Three versions have been confirmed: Standard Edition, Silver Edition and Gold Edition (which includes two expansions; the Silver includes one). Interactive Entertainment, Hitman 2 follows the further bloody adventures of everyone's favorite bald, barcoded assassin, Agent 47. Along the way, he will visit six locations, like Miami, fight the Shadow Client's minions and learn the truth about himself.

In addition to the base game, there is now a standalone mode that two players can tackle cooperatively named Sniper Assassin, but players are welcome to try it solo as well. "Building on the success of our previous game, Hitman 2 introduces exciting new features, new modes, and franchise firsts to make for a larger and richer game", said Hakan Abrak, CEO of IO Interactive. Interestingly, it's available today in early access for those who pre-order Hitman 2.

The Silver Edition is digital only.

"We are thrilled to partner with IO Interactive on HITMAN 2 and bring the latest game in this iconic franchise to the passionate HITMAN fanbase and new players".

If you're ready to secure yourself a copy of Hitman 2, you'll probably want to know what comes in the various editions, where you can buy it, and how much it costs. Hitman 2 will arrive November 13 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Check out the trailer - as well as the sniper assassin mode trailer - in the player below!

The game is a direct sequel of the first Hitman, but this time it won't be episodic, with the whole story being available at launch. But, keep in mind that those who pre-purchase the Gold or Collector's Editions will get to play the game four days earlier than everyone else. These links leave Siliconera.
