Amazon announced this morning that Whole Foods savings are now available to Prime members shopping in 10 more states, including Arizona, Georgia, Hawaii, Oregon, North Carolina and Washington.

Now even more Amazon Prime members can save extra money at Whole Foods.

All they have to do is open the Whole Foods mobile app, sign in with their Amazon account, then scan the barcode at checkout. From there you can show the in-app Prime Code at checkout or enter your phone number to save. The newest one opened in May in Ward Village.

This spring, Amazon said it was raising the price of its annual Prime membership fee to $119 a year, up 20 percent from $99.

"We're excited that Prime savings will be available at almost half of our Whole Foods Market stores this week, giving more Prime members access to great deals just in time for summer", A.C. Gallo, president and chief operating officer at Whole Foods Market, said in a statement.

Amazon offers delivery service from Whole Foods stores in 10 cities (not including Charlotte and Raleigh) and will continue expanding throughout 2018, the company said.

The 36,000-square-foot Whole Foods is uptown Charlotte's first full-sized grocery store.

Amazon also introduced a handful of exclusive discounts for Prime members.

Since Amazon announced the acquisition of Whole Foods Market, the grocery store has been getting more deeply entangled in the Amazon ecosystem.
