Given that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is a prequel, rather than a sequel, the Jade that appears in the trailer is younger than the character we saw in the the first game.

Ubisoft offered up an "open invitation" to fans who want to contribute to 'Beyond Good and Evil 2' at their E3 press conference Monday afternoon. "We are going to explain this dark past and explain where she's coming from".

Ubisoft is partnering with HitRECord, a company co-founded by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Yep, the original game, Beyond Good and Evil, has launched back in 2003 and it clearly took them a long time to muster the courage to even speak about the project. The video didn't provide much in the way of new details about the game's storyline or gameplay, but it did feature a couple of familiar faces from the first Beyond Good and Evil, suggesting the game will have a much stronger connection to its predecessor than previously believed.

One of the big attractions of Beyond Good and Evil 2 is a new marketing campaign.

While you're here, here's everything we know about the setting, characters and, release date of Beyond Good and Evil 2.

The new trailer showed off Shandi, the game's protagonist, trying to save her team, after they are ambushed by an enormous freighter.

Ubisoft also invited players from all over the world to provide artwork and design ideas for a game that we really hope to play before we all get old and pass away.
