And Sunday was no exception, as the little royal was spotted throwing off her shoes and prancing through the grass barefoot, even entertaining the family with a forward roll at one point. Kate Middleton, 36, and her older kids George, 4, and Charlotte let loose on the grounds of the Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire.

George and his friends were spotted playing with some toy guns.

The royal family are the subject of criticism this week after pictures were published of Prince George brandishing a toy gun at a polo match.

As baby Prince Louis stayed at home, pregnant Pippa Middleton's sister filled her £995 bag with the likes of toy handcuffs and a multicoloured slinky.

Princess Charlotte in particular, already known for her impeccable and charming foreign diplomacy skills despite her young age, proved to be the star of the show with some playful antics. The little ones were clearly excited to be out and about after attending Queen Elizabeth's more formal Trooping the Colour the day before. It also happened to be the Buckingham Palace balcony debut of Meghan Markle, now Duchess of Sussex.

The littlest Princess, wearing some pretty sunglasses, left her mum in fits of giggles later on, as she attempted a headstand near the grassy verge the Duchess was sat on.

Kate then congratulated the rest of the team at the Beaufort Polo Club with hugs - and more kisses - as she weaved her way to her husband, Prince William. Charlotte was also pictured peering into her mom's purse.

Prince George, who is reportedly interested in the police and even asked for a police auto for Christmas, was also reportedly spotted playing with a toy knife and handcuffs, prizes that, according to the National Review, he won at the polo match's children's fair.
