Salah, in Russian Federation with Egypt, will hope to shake off his shoulder injury woe - picked in the Uefa Champions League final against Real Madrid - to feature in the Pharoah's opening 2018 Fifa World Cup fixture against Uruguay on Friday.

Russian Federation defender Vladimir Granat said that he hoped that fans viewed the national team favorably ahead of the 2018 World Cup.

Salah jogged for about 30 minutes on Monday as his teammates trained on the same pitch in Grozny for the match in Ekaterinburg. "We hope he will be with us for the Uruguay match".

In regards to Russia's coach taunt on the Egyptian national team which was circulated on social media, Leheita said, "The Pharaohs have taken one approach the past three years, which is focusing on their work without responding to side comments".

"We will not pressure Mohamed".

A big question mark hangs over the participation of Liverpool striker Salah, who is still receiving treatment for the shoulder injury he suffered in the Champions League final.

Egypt will take to their first World Cup finals since 1990, after Salah himself fired them to Russian Federation with a last-minute penalty against Congo in a play-off fixture.

Egypt also face Saudi Arabia and hosts Russian Federation in Group A.
