Bethesda Director and Executive Producer Todd Howard revealed details for the upcoming game at the 2018 Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3, held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The game takes place in one of the most attractive states in the US. The game is a cross between FarmVille and its post-apocalyptic trappings with no mandatory online requirement or pay-to-win micro-transactions.

Now we know much more about the game.

Last but not least, he said that Starfield (the space-themed game BGS is focusing on next, the first new IP they've built in twenty-five years) is playable while The Elder Scrolls VI is definitely not there. One bonus for the Switch version is that you can use the touchscreen or controller to play. Weapons appear more dated than previous Fallout games, as a gameplay sequence featured a single-shot pistol, complete with the player having to refill the gunpowder after every round.

While everyone debates whether or not Fallout 76 is a "true" Fallout game thanks to its emphasis on online co-op play, there's one feature no one can debate: its obscene collector's edition. If it doesn't start there automatically, jump to the 2:17:40 mark and enjoy! You can also find a video for the game's special Power Armor Edition below.

The map of Fallout 76 promises to be four times bigger than that of Fallout 4 (which was huge).

"Since 2008, Bethesda has given their fans the opportunity to roam vast wastelands, take part in epic adventures, and create stories to tell for years to come".

Pre-orders for the game are going to open on June 15th.

Fallout 76 launches on November 14, 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. But the easiest way to survive will be to play with others. Bethesda also announced the extremely limited Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition, which includes full-scale, wearable T-51 Power Armor helmet and a couple of other goodies.
