Anthony Scaramucci, the former White House communications director who appeared in the segment alongside Huntsman on Sunday, didn't acknowledge the "dictator" remark either.

But the daughter of US Ambassador to Russia Jon Huntsman later apologised on air for what she had said.

Trump and Kim were marking an historic moment as the first time a sitting US president has met with a North Korean leader.

Critics of the summit leapt at the leaders' handshake and the moonlight stroll Kim took Monday night along the glittering Singapore waterfront, saying it was further evidence that Trump was helping legitimize Kim on the world stage as an equal of the USA president.

Another twitter user calling themselves Alt Fed Employee wrote: 'Nothing to see here, Fox & Friends just casually calling Trump a dictator now'. "I did not mean that my mistake, so I apologise for that." said Abby.

Huntsman's slip of the tongue went unnoticed by Mr Scarramucci, but not by those on Twitter. As the video feed featured Trump exiting Air Force One, Huntsman stated that Trump's meeting with Kim on Tuesday is "history". "On live TV sometimes you don't always say things perfectly", she said. That was, perhaps, until she accidentally called him a dictator.

Jimmy Kimmel said President Donald Trump seems to be getting his diplomacy all backward.

On Fox News this morning, Fox & Friends co-host Abby Huntsman had a bit of slip in discussing the U.S.

She also tweeted a second apology in the afternoon, "I'll never claim to be a flawless human being".
