The Israeli actress is slated to appear in a new comedy alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson titled Red Notice. Universal Pictures won the rights to the project after a high profile bidding war for the film that included major players like Warner Bros., Paramount, Sony, and even Netflix. Gadot previously starred alongside Johnson in Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6 and Furious 7. Johnson plays the character of an interpol agent in pursuit of the world's most wanted art thief.

Rawson Marshall Thurber is directing the film from his original script. The pair also collaborated on the upcoming Skyscraper.

Details are now unknown, but the general idea is that the movie is an global heist thriller action-comedy that will star Gadot, Johnson, and another male star who has yet to be cast.

In the global action-thriller, Johnson plays an Interpol agent tasked with capturing the most wanted art thief in the world.

Red Notice got studios in a lather because it was regarded as another strong original IP idea by Thurber, in his third collaboration with Johnson, Hollywood's most bankable tent pole star. Legendary is in discussions to partner in Red Notice.

Adding Gadot helps give the expensive blockbuster a higher-floor as her star-power still sits at an all-time high thanks to the rollicking success of last year's Wonder Woman.
