Beginning the conference on a high note a new trailer was shown for Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Other Square Enix titles that should have some stage time include Just Cause 4, Octopath Traveler, the Final Fantasy 7 remake that was announced three years ago, and the Avengers project from Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal.

Just Cause 4 launches on December 4th on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Apart from the game's Standard Edition, Kingdom Hearts 3 will also be available in a Deluxe Edition as well as a limited Deluxe Edition + Bring Arts Figures bundle, effectively making the latter the game's Collector's Edition.

It was nice to see Dragon Quest XI in the spotlight, a series that often doesn't enjoy its share of mainstream.

The next Dragon Quest title is shown detailing a new dark force taking over the world and the call to arms that the protagonist has to answer. By giving early glimpses to Microsoft, they took out a lot of sting from their own conference before it even began.

Not that we're complaining, as the sandbox destruction looked as fun as ever - especially with the new extreme weather effects and more versatile grapple hook.

Square Enix will reveal more details about this game on August so stay tuned for more. There will also be a crossover event with Brave Exvius. Babylon's Fall is also new.

Plus, I am just really bitter that we didn't see a remastered collection of Legacy of Kain, particularly Defiance. But again, Square Enix chose to show a slightly modified trailer from the Xbox press conference.
