Congress president Rahul Gandhi will appear before a court in Thane district's Bhiwandi on Tuesday in connection with a defamation case filed against him by a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker Rajesh Kunte. The court said that on June 12 it would pass an order on the application and would also record the defendant Rahul Gandhi's plea, and asked him to remain present on that day. "The Congress party puts people in a bus, gives them the key and tells them to drive it", he said, adding that the BJP puts people in a bus and lets the RSS drive. He claimed that under the Narendra Modi government, people's right to free speech was being subdued and even the saffron party leaders were scared of voicing their opinion if was against the RSS or Prime Minister Modi.

"Today, our nation has become slave to two-three leaders of the BJP and the RSS". Everyone, including MPs, is afraid to speak.

The auto rickshaw drivers of Mumbai will greet the Congress leader along with the rickshaws as he arrives in Mumbai on June 12.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, of the six seats in Mumbai, the Congress had bagged five while its ally Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) got one.

"People with skills are not rewarded in India. farmers work hard but you don't see them in the offices of Modi ji", he said.

"People who really work are confined to the back room, but the profit of their labour is enjoyed by others. It wants to drive a wedge in the OBC community", he said while addressing the OBC Sammelan in Delhi's Talkatora Stadium. These filtered people would then need to send an SMS on a contact number which would be provided to them by the party officials.

Gandhi alleged that the Modi government had ignored the interests of farmers but helped a small group of industrialists by waiving loans amounting to almost Rs2.5 trillion.

Gandhi said "rich capitalists" will donate thousands of crores to Modi and "benefits will go to just those 15-20 rich people".
