Clippers Trying to Trade Up for Luka Doncic

Last year's NBA Draft was the beginning of a wild summer with a few significant trades, none bigger than Jimmy Butler being dealt to the Timberwolves for Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn, and a swap of first round picks.

According to ESPN, a number of teams have been interested in trading up in the draft to pick Doncic and talks are believed to only increase in the coming week.

The 2018 National Basketball Association draft will take place on June 21 from the Barclays Center in New York City, with players all around the world hoping to be one of the 60 selections.

"I think there's a lot of fluidity to this draft", he said.

Doncic has received high praise, with many people considering him as the best European prospect of all-time.

Arizona center DeAndre Ayton is projected as the top overall pick, with the 7-footer expected to be chosen by the Phoenix Suns. With cap space, and the need to rebuild, the Clippers can afford to take on the bad contract of Chandler Parsons by parting ways with Tobias Harris and Patrick Beverley, both of which are on expiring deals. But one thing this team has been missing for years is that franchise-altering player that every championship team has to have.
