This is Narendra Modi’s morning exercise routine

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday morning posted a video of "moments" from his morning exercises. In the video, PM Modi is seen practising several breathing exercises and some Yoga asanas.

India Prime Minister Narendra Modi has finally responded to Team India skipper Virat Kohli's fitness challenge.

"Apart from Yoga, I walk on a track inspired by the Panchtatvas or 5 elements of nature - Prithvi, Jal, Agni, Vayu, Aakash", PM Modi said, referring to a part of the video in which he is seen walking on different surfaces such as grass, rocks, water, and sand.

Narendra Modi again tweeted, "I am delighted to nominate the following for the #FitnessChallenge: Karnataka's CM Shri @hd_kumaraswamy".


That was the first International Yoga Day, June 21, 2015, a United Nations event that the Indian leader was instrumental in instituting. In response, Modi had tweeted, "Challenge accepted, Virat!" He added that although he supported the cause, he was more concerned about the fitness of his state as far as development was concerned and sought the Prime Minister's support on the same. India's pride and among the highest medal winners for India in the 2018 CWG, Manika Batra.

In a sardonic reply to the Prime Minister, Kumaraswamy said it is the fitness of Karnataka about which he is more concerned.

The Union Sports minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore's had thrown up #HumFitTohIndiaFit campaign and had urged citizens to shoot a video of their "fitness mantra" and share it. Mr Kumaraswamy was sworn in as Chief Minister on May 24, after PM Modi's BJP, which failed to win an outright majority, couldn't get the numbers to pass a floor test. I thank him for participating in the #HumFitTohIndiaFit #FitnessChallenge and reiterating the importance of a healthy mind in a healthy body!
