President Donald Trump just fired back at Robert De Niro on Twitter, after the actor slammed him hard during the Tony Awards on Sunday night.

The Oscar-winning actor has starred in a number of boxing films, including Raging Bull, and he pulled no punches during the live television broadcast of Sunday night's Tony Awards.

On that note, Trump has responded to De Niro's comments via Twitter.

Robert De Niro speaks onstage during the National Board of Review annual awards gala at Cipriani 42nd St, Jan. 9, 2018, in New York City.

De Niro said Trump's remarks were a "disgrace".

How no one has looped that into one of those 10-hour videos of him just saying "Fuck Trump" over and over is beyond me.

"I wanna say, 'F-k Trump, '" the Oscar victor exclaimed while many audience members at New York's Radio City Music Hall stood up and applauded.

Trump says he believes De Niro "may be 'punch-drunk, '" adding, "Wake up Punchy!". He got a standing ovation.

"Bruce, you can rock the house like nobody else", De Niro continued. In January of this year, the actor called Trump a "f**king idiot" in a profanity-laced rant.

De Niro apologized Monday - but on America's behalf to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, whom Trump ripped Saturday as "very dishonest and weak" after the US refused to sign the joint communique from global leaders attending the Group of Seven summit in Quebec. While in Toronto Tuesday morning, De Niro told Canadians he was sorry for Trump's behavior. "And I apologize to Justin Trudeau and the other people at the G7".
