Trump and Kim signed a document that calls for Pyongyang to work "toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula".

Trump, however, maintained control over the chat by patting Kim, and using his hand to guide him, who is nearly half his age, into the room.

Castaldo, who identifies politically as Independent, says his company produces "inspirational" movies that "have something to say", and doesn't think Trump's film quite fit the bill for his stamp of approval.

"It has been an Un-precidented 24 hours for the United States and North Korea as our president, Donald Trump, met with his favorite Little Rocket Man", Kimmel started out. They said it couldn't be done, they scoffed. "He was not leaving this summit without claiming he made a deal", Kimmel explained.

Kim also patted Trump, in an attempt to assert control.

"They both want to show dominance and that is why there's this bone-crushing handshake". The White House is marking the meeting down as a success after the two leaders signed an agreement to move the relationship forward, in addition to receiving a pledge the regime will denuclearize.

GOP lawmakers and allies of Trump in media have taken heat from multiple networks over their stance on the North Korea summit.

To Trump's statement "I'm given what I'm given" to ABC News' George Stephanopoulos about working with a brutal dictator like Kim, Colbert quipped, "Kim kills his own people, but it's not like he kneeled during the National Anthem".

It also showed Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano stating that Trump looked "more presidential this morning than I have ever seen him look" and host Laura Ingraham saying on her show that "it is a great time to be an American".
