Chris Pine is back for Wonder Woman 1984, the official title of Wonder Woman 2!

"Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman's next big screen adventure finds her facing an all-new foe: The Cheetah", reads Warner Bros.'s press release.

Director Patty Jenkins also shared an image of Chris Pine on the set of the sequel this morning, showing Steve Trevor walking through a crowded mall.

Filming on the sequel is officially underway, two first-look photos have been released and an official title has been announced. It stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as the villain Cheetah, and Pedro Pascal in an unknown role. The character sacrificed his life during the climax of the first "Wonder Woman", which means the script will have a lot of explaining to do in regards to how Trevor is alive in 1984.

Filming for Wonder Woman 1984 is taking place in Washington D.C., Alexandria, Virginia, and in the UK, Spain, a d the Canary Islands. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada are the executive producers.

And yet, thanks to a teaser image tweeted out by Patty Jenkins herself, here's Trevor, looking not a day older than he did back in the first film. Oscar-nominated editor Ricahrd Pearson (United 93) is editing the film.

Wonder Woman 2 is now set to hit theaters on November 1, 2019.
