Kane himself is a sea pirate and mercenary who actually doesn't have any powers, but utilizes his iconic suit to help compensate for that.

The Aquaman cast includes Jason Momoa (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League) as the titular King of Atlantis, with Amber Heard as his wife Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Ludi Lin as Murk, Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, Academy Award victor Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, and Michael Beach as Jesse Kane.

The Black Manta helmet looks quite nifty, however, and I like how Wan has found a grounded way for the character to make sense.

"Black Manta is a really interesting character who is somehow factored into this story but our main story is about [Jason Momoa's Aquaman] and [Patrick Wilson's King Orm]."

Although few concrete plot details have been revealed about Aquaman, it's been characterized by Wan as "a classic story of sibling rivalry", involving Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry and his half-brother Orm. But don't go expecting some full-blown Batman v Superman-style grit. "Rarely has a superhero character been married to the real-life actor as much as Aquaman and Jason Momoa", executive producer Peter Safran declares.

Wan told EW that the underwater world of his movie will set it apart from every other DCEU film. "This is a whole new underwater world nobody has seen before in live action". Check out all of the new Aquaman images below. Between these comments and those colorful Wonder Woman 1984 images, the future of DC looks bright. After that, the new covers feature Aquaman front and center while the second cover features Atlanna, Mera, and a different shot of Arthur.
