"I think we still have Gamescom so we'll be showing it", Iwinski said.

Polish developer CD Projekt RED had a significant presence at E3 this year, where they showed off Cyberpunk 2077's trailer at the Microsoft conference.

Iwinski confirmed to Kotaku's Jason Schrier that the E3 demo was not crafted specifically for E3 - it was the actual game.

"CD Projekt has alluded to the fact before and trying to clarify exactly what formats the game will be released on involved a series of nervous questions between CD Projekt staff, unsure of what exactly they should be saying". "The demo, it's not a demo-demo in terms that it's an artificial piece of content created for the purposes of the show".

The first-person RPG, set in a Californian megacity in the year 2077, offers up a robust character creation system.

Iwiński then noted that he's pleased with the feedback that they got out of the build they presented at E3.

Her description reminds us an bad lot of a certain Cyberpunk world. "And this makes us very happy and very proud because we've actually made it to pull off a build".

The game has, after all, had a very slow development cycle.

As seen in the brief interview below between the YouTuber known as YongYea and Cyberpunk 2020 creator Mike Pondsmith, Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be ready when CD Projekt Red is prepared to put it out, which could be beyond 2020. The game is still a times off from release and doesn't have a release date yet.

Bearing this all in mind, should players have to wait a while longer for Cyberpunk 2077 to come out, it doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing.
