And luckily for us Creed enthusiasts out there, MGM and Warner Bros. will roll out the first official trailer for the sequel tomorrow, June 20.

It's a simple and striking black-and-white poster, which shows Jordan as Adonis Creed, standing in front of a giant roman numeral 2.

Creed's father died in the ring during the events of Rocky IV in an exhibition match with Soviet Union behemoth Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren).

Both the poster and synopsis reveals offer more insight into what Creed 2 is about, but they only go so far in giving fans a concrete idea of what to expect from the film. The new film is being directed by Steven Caple Jr., who helmed the acclaimed 2016 drama The Land. Inevitably Creed II is on the way, and while Coogler isn't returning, star Michael B. Jordan is, alongside Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa.

"Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what's worth fighting for, and discover that nothing's more important than family", the synopsis continues. Creed II will be distributed theatrically in the U.S.by MGM on November 21, 2018, and Warner Bros. Stallone himself was originally set to direct-as well as co-write-the movie, but he ultimately stepped aside. The sequel has been produced by Irwin Winkler, Charles Winkler, William Chartoff, David Winkler, and Kevin King-Templeton, with Jordan and Guy Riedel are serving as executive producers. Jordan returns as Adonis Creed in the film, set for release on November 21.

Stallone won a Golden Globe for his performance as the aging Rocky in Creed and also received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
