Munster learn Champions Cup pool opponents for next season

Incredibly, these will be Munster's 15th and 16th European Cup matches against Castres, while Exeter, the 2016/17 English Premiership champions and runners-up this past season, are set for their first ever trip to fortress Thomond.

Last season's semi-finalists Munster have been given a slightly easier run in the Pool stages after they were drawn into Pool 2 alongside Castres Olympique, Premiership finalists the Exeter Chiefs and Challenge Cup finalists Gloucester Rugby.

But the draw, which took place at Lausanne's Olympic Museum in Switzerland, was kinder to Premiership champions Saracens.

Reigning European Champions Cup holders Leinster have been drawn against a trio of former winners in the 2018-19 competition. It also sees no Italian side, with only the original Five Nations sides represented this year.

It could have been worse with the group of death being Pool One, which pits Leinster, Wasps, Toulouse and Bath together.

They're in pool 4 with Racing, Scarlets and Leicester Tigers.

The draw for next season's Champions Cup has been made.

Saracens have plenty of history in this competition winning it in 2016 and 2017.

"Gloucester very almost won the Challenge Cup and they have added even more quality to their side for next season and it will be good to see Gerbrandt again so soon". And will the newly branded Bristol Bears come out fighting? This will start the journey to the finals in Newcastle in May 2019.

But the most important question is...what do you think of the European Rugby 2018/19 draws announced this week? Good, bad, will it advantage any sides.
