James Woods' agent dumped him for the most hilarious reason

Breitbart News has been covering Hollywood's blacklist of conservatives for some time, but what we are seeing now is the most brazen yet, especially when you are talking about an actor with the status of a James Woods.

"It's the 4th of July and I'm feeling patriotic", Kaplan wrote, according to the Woods-tweeted image.

Woods on Thursday shared on Twitter an email from his agent, Ken Kaplan. Don't want to represent you anymore.

Kaplan's email, apparently sent to the actor at 8:26 pm yesterday, followed Woods' busy holiday tweeting spree, including one that referred to former president Barack Obama as "a stain" and, in quote marks apparently meant to suggest irony, a "man".

Woods said that Kaplan is a "political liberal", though the agent's message did not explicitly state the decision was based on politics. "I was thinking if you're feeling patriotic, you would appreciate free speech and one's right to think as an individual", he said.

Showing no ill will, the actor went on to thank Kaplan for "all [his] hard work and devotion" on his behalf.

Aside from his political leanings, Woods was also accused of sexual harassment by actor Amber Tamblyn (Joan of Arcadia) last September.

Woods is best known for his roles in Ghosts of Mississippi, Salvador and Videodrome. Elizabeth Perkins also accused him of harassment at a #MeToo rally previous year. The veteran actor has starred in the Showtime series "Ray Donovan" and "Family Guy" (as himself) and recently voiced the role of Lex Luthor in the animated TV show "Justice League Action".

Kaplan's agency, Gersh, did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.
