A leak suggests that prices for the Nokia X5 will start from RMB 999, which roughly translates to Rs 10,300.

Images of the smartphone has been leaked on various occasions, with its possible design revealed.

This morning, it was confirmed that the Nokia X5 will be made official by HMD Global on July 11.

Additionally, like all Nokia phones, it will come with pure Android Oreo OS and will be eligible to get the upcoming Android P later this year. The firm is launching a new phone, rumoured to be called either the Nokia X5 or the Nokia 5.1 Plus (outside China). If the leaked renders are to be believed, the Nokia X5's frame could have a metal finishing.

As per a recent post on Baidu, the company might announce two other smartphones - one featuring Snapdragon 710 SoC and other with flagship Snapdragon 845 processor.

Going by the specs, Nokia X5 looks like a promising budget phone and might repeat the success of the Nokia X6. Notably, the 5.1 Plus was expected to be the second smartphone from the brand to come with a notch display. It is said to be launched sometime by the end of Q3, probably August. It will feature a 5.86-inch FHD+ display, that has a notch at the top, and a screen aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone is powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor. The Nokia 5.1 Plus or X5 will be available in different memory configurations including 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage option, 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage and a 6GB of RAM with 64GB storage.

Even the 16MP front-camera boasts AI-selfie with background blur feature and amusing stickers for face to share it on social media.

The dual-camera setup at the back is expected to feature a combination of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. Connectivity might include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, USB, while battery capacity is set at 3000mAh. The phone measures 149.51 x 71.98 x 8mm and weighs 160 grams.
