Who will be there are Prince Louis' siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to see 11-week-old Louis' big day.

It will be the first time the new family of five will be seen together in the public. On Monday just before the christening, the palace confirmed that the gown would be worn by Louis once more to continue the royal tradition.

The garment-made of "fine Honiton lace lined with white satin"-was also worn for all subsequent royal christenings, including that of the Queen, her children and seven of her grandchildren".

As People notes, the ceremony was conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby.

The tradition of this particular christening gown harkens back to Queen Victoria, who commissioned the garment for the royal baptism of her daughter Victoria in 1841; you can glimpse one of its earliest representations in a painting of the event from the era.

Queen Victoria married Prince Albert on the very steps of the palace in 1840, while Queen Elizabeth I is also known to have resided at the palace on several occasions.

According to Britain's The Sun, Harry shelled out £8,000 - more than $10,000 - for a first-edition copy of "Winnie-The-Pooh" by A.A. Milne for brother Prince William's third child. Other guests will include Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Pippa Middleton and James Middleton. The group ― Nicholas van Cutsem, Guy Pelly, Harry Aubrey-Fletcher, Lady Laura Meade, Mrs. Robert Carter and Lucy Middleton ― was announced prior to the ceremony, in a statement put out by Kensington Palace.

Also attending are Prince Charles and Camilla, Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Cambridge's parents, her brother and sister and Louis's six godparents, who are close friends or relatives of William and Kate.

Unfortunately, as previously reported, Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip decided a while ago that they would not be able to attend.

Designed by Fiona Cairns, William and Kate's wedding cake was made up by 17 individual fruit cakes and had eight tiers.
