Absolutely nothing else. But just the prospect of a faster, more focused, more athletic Bugatti Chiron is enough to push the right buttons at PH, so forgive us for telling you already. Prepare yourselves for the upcoming Bugatti Divo: a limited edition hypercar with a very specific focus. Based on the existing 1,479 horsepower Chiron, the Divo is meant to be lighter in weight and significantly quicker around corners. No performance specifications were released, though a price of €5 million ($5.9 million) apiece and a production run of 40 cars has been declared.

"Happiness is not around the corner". It is the corner.

Bugatti announced today that it will unveil a new model, the Divo, on August 24.

The Divo is expected to follow the Sport in getting no alterations to Bugatti's 1479bhp quad-turbo 8.0-litre W16, but lightweighting measures, downforce-boosting bodywork, upgraded suspension and other corner-friendly mechanical tweaks are confirmed.

In an official statement, Bugatti president Stephan Winkelmann that with the Divo, the brand aims to "thrill people throughout the world", and that it gives Bugatti the chance to "interpret the brand DNA in terms of agile, nimble handling in a significantly more performance-oriented way".

When a corner comes along, this vehicle will whip it, whip it good.

Bugatti is working on a new model, the Bugatti Divo, named after Albert Divo, the French racing driver who won the famous Targa Florio race on a mountainous circuit in Sicily for Bugatti twice in the late 1920s.
