This comes a day after a Congress worker from West Bengal filed a complaint against Netflix, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and makers of the Sacred Games at Girish Park Police station.

A plea was filed in the Delhi High Court on Wednesday against Netflix series "Sacred Games" seeking removal of certain scenes as the content was derogatory to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi.

"Nawazuddin as Ganesh Gaitonde abused our late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi calling him fattu, which translated as pu*** in the subtitle". An Indian National Congress member from West Bengal has lodged a complaint against Netflix, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and the producers of Sacred Games for "insulting" late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The eight episode TV series directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap of Phantom films, is the first original Netflix series to come from India. He has also been misrepresenting facts and tweaking them.

Sacred Games is an Indian web television series based on Vikram Chandra's novel Sacred Games. The show revolves around a cop, plays by Saif, attempting to foil a terror attack in Mumbai based on a tip-off by a criminal, played by Siddiqui.

Spread across most episodes of the show, Sacred Games talks about certain incidents in India's political history including Rajiv Gandhi's alleged role in the Bofors scam, the Congress government's controversial forced sterilisation scheme under Indira Gandhi's tenure, and Rajiv Gandhi's involvement in the Shah Bano case. He dealt with Shah Bano and the country separately. She took her husband to court and won. But our former PM, Rajiv Gandhi a fattu (pussy) overturned the court's judgment and threw Shah Bano to the mullahs. Even Hindus criticised him.

The complaint also states that the series "also crosses all limits of decency", likely referring to nudity and sex scenes in the series. Sacred Games features fantastic production coupled with great acting and direction, all of which has received rave reviews so far.
