France coach Didier Deschamps admitted that his players have still not digested their defeat in the Euro 2016 final but suggested that winning this summer's World Cup might change that, after Les Bleus beat Belgium 1-0 in the semifinal on Tuesday.

England's journey to the World Cup semi-finals has captured the imagination of the whole country - not least in Milton Keynes where children are dreaming of becoming the next Dele Alli. Goals by Robert Prosinećki in the 13th minute and Davor Šuker in the 35th minute wrote history for Croatian football.

If you look at those who have advanced to the last four - Croatia, Belgium, England and France - you'll realise that not many people would have bet on them reaching this far. "We were all happy, all hugging", Mbappe said.

"As a venue we can only take responsibility for so much, and thought a reminder to our customers that they should always enjoy themselves responsibly is important".

"We could easily have come to this stage and frozen".

"The semi-final of a World Cup is not an easy game, but it's a game we feel we are ready for". We like to play football on the ground.

France lost the Euro 2016 final to Portugal. We had the chance to win the final of the Euros, but we missed a wonderful thing and we must not let this chance pass. Comparing his 1990 team as a player and the current one, Southgate said, "That team had a lot of experience and had six club captains".

Rhys Masters, from Southbourne, said: "This is the best squad we've had since I've been watching England. I think it's going to be incredibly loud in any bar we end up going to for the match".
