If you want every unlock for Fortnite Battle Royale Season 5 Battle Pass without having to earn it, you'll be paying nearly $150 (almost Rs. 9,720).

As for the map itself, Epic has added in a new desert biome which was something that was heavily hinted it over the last couple of days with all sorts of teasers. "Hop in an All Terrain Kart (ATK) with your squad and uncover all-new mysteries and locations that await". Challenges are split into two sections for Season 5: Free and Battle Pass. But we have had a chance to read over the V5 patch notes, which have given us a glimpse at what the game is going to look like when it returns later today.

There's a lot more to explore in the latest Season 5 update and you can check out the full patch notes here.

The biggest change pertains to the new Rifts that are scattered all throughout the "Fortnite" battle royale map. The ATK is basically a ruggedized golf cart that enables speed boosts when drifting.

The roof acts as a bounce pad. All four members of a squad can climb inside, but also work together to enable higher jumps using a well-timed lean. Epic has brought some of them down to earth in the form of Rifts. Polygon speculates that it might even transport players to an entirely different map.

In addition to these new features, "Fortnite" season 5 comes with a number of tweaks and fixes for the battle royale gameplay. Where storm circles would normally just shrink, Epic has decided that the seventh, eighth and ninth circles should move in random directions, giving campers a whole new headache to deal with. This should make it a little bit more challenging for players who prefer to camp as the Storm closes in.

The company has also seen fit to indicate how many shotgun pellets hit a rival player, providing more context as to why a point-blank shotgun shot only registered 8 damage.

The pellet spread of shotguns is no longer random, but they now have an added delay after firing.

In 50v50 or 20v20 modes, you'll now get bonus XP up to three times per match for reviving teammates.
