Samsung Galaxy S10 may grab side-mounted fingerprint scanner

A new report by The Bell states that the company is working on three variants of Samsung Galaxy S10 which are codenamed Beyond 0, Beyond 1 and Beyond 2. Apart from this, the phone also has a fingerprint sensor, iris scanner and facial recognition. A challenge which has responded to its competitor, Samsung, with its Galaxy S10 if one believes one of its patents approved by the u.s. Office of patents and trademarks spotted by Patently Apple. It looks like the 5.8-inch Galaxy S10 will be giving it a miss, understandable since the component will probably drive up costs astronomically.

Nashville Chatter Class also notes that the site mentions dual front cameras for the Galaxy S10+, a.k.a. the "Beyond 2" model.

In March Huawei introduced their premium P20 smartphone that introduced a triple camera setup.

The upcoming MWC that is to be held in February will get Galaxy S10. The main camera is expected to take the middle spot, the zoom lens will be on its left and the super-wide-angle lens will appear on the right. An LED flash would also be present.

With talks about Samsung looking to announce their new Samsung Galaxy X, we might end up seeing the Samsung Galaxy S10 early this time.

With smartphone giants revealing flagship devices one by one, the upcoming Galaxy S 10 is said to be boasting high-end features and if rumors are to be believed, it will be the costliest Samsung smartphone ever. It has been speculated that the company may embed the speakers in the display to reduce that bezel space.
