"It's coming home" became a famous mantra among supporters when England cruised through to the semi-finals of the World Cup, after surprising everyone with brilliant play under seemingly reformed manager Gareth Southgate.

The England boss was amused at the prospect of fans both in Russian Federation and back at home observing Waistcoat Wednesday in tribute to the man who has guided the nation to within perhaps just 90 minutes of a first final since 1966. "It's been an enjoyable journey, and we want to keep it going". Wednesday evening is a huge opportunity for our boys to do what many of us thought was impossible before the World Cup began and reach the Final.

According to the black box simulations, Belgium will edge out France while England will defeat Croatia in the semi-finals, which are taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively. Biggest win in the tournament.

England have been based in Repino near St. Petersburg for the tournament, but their campaign has taken them to five different host cities.

Several people were photographed on top of the ambulance.

"For us as a team, it's another chance to create a small piece of history".

"It's been a fantastic World Cup, of course it's always better for us because we've won some games". Football might actually be coming home after all.

"Football's Coming Home" was originally a song by Baddiel, Skinner, and the Lightning Seeds that was made for the England football team during Euro 96.

England will play Croatia at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium at 7pm United Kingdom time.

"Hopefully they'll just get their heads down, work hard and get the win for us".

London Ambulance Service tweeted photos of the badly damaged ambulance and the official Joint Response Unit Twitter account also tweeted to say: "We are better than this England".

Croatia finished top of Group D by beating Nigeria 2-0, Argentina 3-0 and Iceland 2-1, but needed penalty shootouts to get past Denmark in the last 16 and Russian Federation in the quarter-finals.
