The new questions sticker offers a bit more room for users to ask open-ended questions that have more than two answer options and it allows their followers to come up with their own unique responses as well.

Instagram's latest feature, Questions Sticker, inserts a Reddit AMA (ask me anything)-like format into Stories - its ephemeral photo sharing component.

Instagram quietly updated its mobile apps to allow users to add questions inside their Stories. The newest addition, announced Tuesday, is a "questions sticker". Decorate the story however you like then hit "share".

You can then tap on the question to create a new story post and although you know who asked it the username will not appear in the post. Instagram says that the answers won't show your name or photo, but the asker will be able to view who submits each question. People seeing Stories that contain a question can respond by tapping the sticker in the story, then type a question to ask in return if they wish.

The questions sticker is available as part of Instagram version 52 on iOS and Android.

Instagram has been adding new features left and right to entice users, especially those who are still avid Snapchat users.

The Questions sticker is as easy as using the other stickers like Poll, GIFs and so on. You can find all of their questions by checking out your viewers' list, very similar to how you view results to your IG polls.

To see the votes yourself, just swipe up, and the full list will be shown. Highlights include its new Lite and IGTV apps, though there are several Instagram app tweaks sprinkled all throughout.
