Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez has landed his third summer signing after completing a season-long loan deal for Chelsea winger Kenedy.

As per the club's official website, Kenedy joins Rafa Benitez's men after spending the second half of the season on loan there.

Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez is delighted to welcome back Chelsea loanee Kenedy for the whole season.

UK Sun citing the Times claimed that one of the club's backroom staff emailed the players that did not participate in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russian Federation to return for their preseason training, but they disregarded the information insisting they will wait until Monday before resuming.

The Brazilian was a popular figure at St James' Park, with many fans urging the club to re-sign the player this summer.

He played 13 times for Newcastle last season, scoring twice.

'I aim to come here in this new season and give everything on the pitch and keep the work going from the season before'.

A striker seems like the most obvious choice, but with the club struggling to get a deal done for Nice's Alassane Plea, I think we could perhaps turn our attention towards improving our midfield options. "I wish him all the best for his time here".

Twenty-two-year-old Kenedy began his career in his homeland with Fluminense, where he made 31 appearances and scored twice before making a move to Stamford Bridge in August 2015.
