Tottenham and Everton are reportedly eyeing a loan move for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina for next season.

His form during the group stage impressed newly-appointed Everton boss Marco Silva and the Merseysiders moved swiftly once Colombia's run was over.

Those reports have come despite the fact that Mina only signed for FC Barcelona from Palmeiras for €11.8m (£10.5m) in the January transfer window.

The centre-back is set to return to Barcelona this summer, but with Clement Lenglet coming to the Nou Camp and Brazilian midielder Arthur incoming, Mina could be on his way to the exit.

"I'm not aware of any bids", Mina told RAC1.

"He moved in January to succeed at a big club and Barca are a big club".

'The player has a contract with Barcelona and wants to stay at Barcelona.

Barcelona were sure about selling the defender, who just joined in January from Palmeiras, before the World Cup, but his performances in Russian Federation have changed opinions about him at the Nou Camp.

'He is convinced he will get the chance to do big things and our idea is that he stays where he is'.

Mina has made a real name for himself during the World Cup, scoring three important goals in Colombia's campaign before they crashed out on penalties against Gareth Southgate's England side.
