West Brom join numerous Championship clubs in race for Harry Wilson

Around a dozen clubs, including Celtic, have made enquiries about the Wales global, whom Press Association Sport understands is set to sign a new contract at Anfield, but Wilson wants to prove his worth to Jurgen Klopp in pre-season.

Marko Grujic could join newly-promoted Cardiff on loan having spent the second half of last season there, while defender Connor Randall is on the radar of St Mirren boss Alan Stubbs.

Wilson has also won four senior caps for Wales.

As reported by the official Liverpool website, Wilson, who only signed a new contract with Liverpool before joining the Tigers on loan, has put pen-to-paper on a long-term deal with improved terms as a reward for his development.

"At the moment I am getting the chance to train at Melwood and get minutes in the friendlies and my aim is to impress the manager and stay here".

The news that the highly-rated youngster will be heading out on loan once again may be disappointing to hear for many Liverpool fans, who have hoped to see the winger feature for the first-team in the near future, potentially following in the footsteps of fellow academy graduate Trent Alexander-Arnold.

His impressive season for both Hull and Neil Critchley's Under 23's could mean that Wilson may feature more for the Reds next season, however, the additions of Fabinho and Naby Keita, as well as other imminent arrivals, could make it hard for Wilson to even make the substitutes bench next season.

[I want to] keep trying to score goals, [get] assists, help the team out and then I'm not looking too far beyond that.

I feel if I do well enough here, everything else will take care of itself.

West Brom have entered the race to secure the services of Harry Wilson on loan from Liverpool.
