Who knows, maybe I could hit their heights and be a legend here too.

Anderson, a one-time capped Brazil global, joined Lazio from Brazilian side Santos in 2013.

Anderson joins Ryan Fredericks, Lukasz Fabianski, Issa Diop, Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko and Fabian Balbuena in signing for West Ham this summer.

West Ham United have pushed their summer spending past the £80m mark with the club-record signing of Felipe Anderson.

Joint-chairman David Sullivan has admitted that he is "delighted" to have brought in Felipe Anderson from Lazio, which he believes shows West Ham United's intent for the new campaign. I'm really happy to be here.

It appears they won't be big-name additions but the club could work to sign players on free transfers or on loan. It's a dream come true.

The Brazilian completed his medical on Friday and subsequently signed a four-year contract at London Stadium until 2022.

"I know how hard it was, so I have to thank him a lot, and I hope I can repay his faith in me on the pitch with goals and winning games".

He earned one senior worldwide cap for Brazil in 2015 and won a gold medal with his country at the 2016 Olympic Games on home soil in Rio de Janeiro.

While director of football Mario Husillos added: "We are very happy and pleased to welcome Felipe to West Ham United".

That flat fee alone represents a club record transfer fee for the Hammers, who have embarked on an extensive recruitment drive since sacking David Moyes and hiring Manuel Pellegrini as his replacement.

Anderson's "undoubted creative ability" was a key factor in West Ham's decision to sign him, the club said.
