The 49-year-old star of Bravo's reality show Ladies of London counted supermodel Kate Moss and the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen among her close friends, while her grandmother was a second cousin of the Queen Mother.

Her death comes nearly a decade after he took his own life in 2010, and Neilson opened about their relationship and that loss in a 2015 interview with The Daily Mail.

The star became McQueen's muse at the age of 22, and was the last person to see the designer alive before his death by suicide in 2010. In a 2015 interview with the Daily Mail, she touched on her friendship with the fashion icon who she considered her soulmate. Most of the time people called me Mrs. McQueen.

Fans first met the model and London socialite in season one and two of the Bravo reality show. He understood me; we understood each other ... I just said to myself, 'You have to get up, ' so I did.

Page Six reports that a number of dark posts have been removed from Kate's friend's Instagram account following her death. "Kate is my best mate and I love her like a sister. I wish now that I had said yes".

Authorities confirmed to DailyMail.com on Monday that the children's author and muse to the likes of Alexander McQueen and John Galliano had been found dead in her London home at 10:20pm last Thursday. She always looks out for me and I look out for her.

Moss posted an emotional tribute on Instagram with a picture of the two together, captioned: "Rest in ideal peace & paradise ... sending love & condolences to your family, friends & loved ones". But now a coroner's spokesperson has released a statement to say that Neilson had a stroke. "You do look for inspiration amongst the people close to you".
