LeBron James, the newest face of the Los Angeles Lakers, stopped by the Thomas & Mack Center on Monday (AEST) to watch his new teammates take on the Detroit Pistons in the quarterfinals of NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

Sure enough, Sunday was that day. In true LBJ fashion, he rocked a backwards hat and sunglasses. Second-year guard Josh Hart, who is likely to get rotation minutes next to James this season, led the Lakers to victory with 18 points and a team-high four assists in 22 minutes of action.

Ball confirmed something we should have already known: that he believes he could have beaten LeBron James in a game of one-on-one back when he was in better shape.

But yesterday Lakers fans were treated to seeing their newest superstar wearing the famous purple and gold.

A lot of people were wondering how odd it is going to look to see LeBron James wearing Lakers colors, and we got our first non-computer generated glimpse of that on Sunday afternoon.

The Lakers now have a very young but talented supporting cast around James, including the No. 2 overall draft picks in 2017 (Ball) and 2016 (Brandon Ingram), as well as Kuzma and Hart.
